Enhancement System
- Implemented an item enhancement system for the Verdant Roots set
- Players can now access a GUI (which will later be tied to a specific NPC) to upgrade any Verdant Roots item up to +15
- Each enhancement consumes 5 Verdant Essence and has a 50% success rate
- Failed upgrades do not destroy or downgrade the item — it simply remains at its previous enhancement level
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the Verdant Bow upgrades were not correctly scaling projectile damage
- Fixed a bug where the Verdant Staff upgrades were not scaling magic damage properly
- Fixed an issue where the armor stats were not displaying correctly
- Fixed a detection issue where Staffs were not being recognized by the game and were therefore unusable — they now function properly
- Fixed an issue preventing bow abilities from activating when the correct key combinations were pressed
- Fixed a similar issue with sword abilities, which were not executing correctly despite proper input
- Corrected visual and functional errors with custom ability particles tied to special items
Next Steps
- Implement the modifier system properly
- Implement the gem system properly
- Once the above systems are completed, item stats and balance must be adjusted — current damage values are excessively high
- The Alpha phase will be capped at level 20 and designed to be completed using the Verdant Roots set
